Why do we say "God is love"?

We say God is love because he literally is love! God loves his enemies! So is that not REAL love or what? God is amazing and his Love is stronger than infinity so he really is LOVE! Of course, he gets mad at us sometimes but that is for a good reason, and he IS quick to forgive as long as we ask for forgiveness. No matter what who you are or what you did God loves you because he created you and he also cares for you so don't hesitate to ask for forgiveness because GOD IS LOVE.
Jesus said:
Luke 12:49-51
49 I have come to throw FIRE on the earth;
51 Think ye that I am come to give peace on earth?
No, I say to you, but rather DIVISIVENESS.
Matthew 10:34
Do not think that I have come to bring PEACE on earth;
I am not come to bring peace, but SWORD.

In spite of these clear Words, the blind and ignorant clerics - in all churches - call Him
the Prince of Peace.
